Stick & Stone Collective is changing that. We bring people together through shared experiences in nature, grounded in the belief that time outdoors helps us slow down and connect to the world around us and one another.
We're building a community - in real life and online - where families can engage with the outdoors, broaden their nature literacy, pass that love to the next generation, and find their people along the way.

Who we are
Stick & Stone Collective started as a simple idea: bring families in Kitchener-Waterloo together outdoors, form connections with nature and each other, and let the conversation and community grow from there. Starting with a few small events, our dream is that this will evolve into a recurring space for people looking for connection away from screens and the hustle and bustle of daily life.
About me
My name is Graeme Harvey. I'm a husband and father of two who has seen firsthand the positive impact that time spent outdoors has had on our family and others. I love forests, work in reforestation and actively try to spend as much time around trees as possible. I want to help enable and foster a love for the natural world in others, so that they too can experience the benefits of improved health, stronger interpersonal bonds, and like-minded community.
Where we're headed
We're just getting started. Over the next season we're planning to run regular family hikes and nature gatherings on trails around Waterloo Region, build an online space, and grow this into a genuine community. Throughout our growth, the goal is to keep things intentional and focused on what the community needs.
